Today in class was fun and exciting. We had the debate between the Palestines and Islamics. We were assigned a group and we had to come up with reasons on why and if we should get the "holy land". It was an interesing debate and both sides had a "bad" side and a "good" side. They wanted either violance or peace. In the end the United States group was chosen as the option we all thought was reasonable. It was a fun and very intertaining class day and informational.

Today in class, we started off with a short "quiz" (not graded) that covered the topics from last night's homework, "Israeli-Palestinian Conflict." It was mostly just a review to see if everyone understood the concepts from the book. Afterwards, we started the worksheet called "Israeli-Palestinian Conflict Simulation Questions" and we filled out questions 1-5. After lunch, Mr. Kyle assigned us a biography of either a Israeli or Palestinian person and we had to read it and answer questions 6 and 7 in the packet. Once we were finished, we were put in groups according to the biography we were assigned. There was the Palestinian group and the Israeli group. Once in the groups, we started talking about the backgrounds of our people we were assigned and split into two groups according to their beliefs.

Today was a very good day. We took notes on a power point and we had to read a couple pages in the book and then answer 5 or 6 questions (which was homework) and if you asked me I thought I did a good job taking notes but here goes nothing.

*Europeans made countries, ignoring cultures and religions
*State of Palestine is created around the holy land

*WWII breaks out
*6million Jews were killed
*All that are left had no homes
*US and Britain decide to allow most of Middle East to be free from European rule
*Created the state Israel for the Jews
*Went to West Bank or Gaza Strip
*Palestinian are forced out of the country by the Jews creating a conflict that still lasts today
*Conflicts
